Wheel thrown and glazed in my newest matte glaze base, blue and mist, these zigzag vases are a beautiful addition with flowers for your table or mantle. The short and squat blue zigzag vase measures 6” tall and 4.5” wide, so it can hold bouquets or makes a great candidate for a utensil holder on your kitchen counter. The tall mist zigzag vase measures 11” tall and 4” wide, perfect for tall stems. The colour- ‘mist’ has a hint of green in it.
This soft curvy vase is wider and short, perfect for a spring bouquet on your table or mantle. Glazed in a new matte glaze I’m calling called ‘mist’, this vase measures 6.5” tall.
A variation on my Speckled Stoneware Teapot design, the fluted Teapot has lines carved into it using various trimming tools. Glazed with a matte linen glaze on the bottom half of the teapot, these are beautifully textured. Wheel-thrown, carved and glazed by hand with a white glazed interior and straining holes where the spout is for loose tea, this teapot is very user-friendly, lovely to hold, and a beauty to pour.
Have you recently gotten into fermenting your veggies? Interested to try? I have been prototyping fermenting jars for a client and have 2 extra 2 litre fermenting jars available through my studio. Perfect for a head of cabbage, carrots, cauliflower and more, the fluted fermented jars are thrown with a reservoir for water to create an airtight seal when your ferments are inside. Minimal and textured, the slightly oversized lid gives space to lift and move the lid to check on your ferments every couple of days. Because the jar is ceramics, you can leave it out on the counter to check on as no light will get in during fermenting. A beautiful addition to a kitchen focused on whole foods and natural ferments.
Within the series of the fluted Vase, I focus on curved shapes and angled shapes. These 2 vases reflect the inverse of each other’s curves and create an incredible negative space between them. Sold individually, the blue vase measures 9.5” tall and the curved round vase measures just over 9” tall.
From my latest series of Fluted Vases, a series of angled fluted vases. A labour of love, each vase is thrown, trimmed and then individually carved by hand. The smaller linen zig zag shape is 9” tall, the taller linen zigzag shape is 9.5”, and the angled pale yellow/green is 9.3” tall.
Wheelthrown in a speckled stoneware, this curvy vase has a soft matte blue glaze on it that feels smooth to the touch. This vase sits just over 9” tall.
I have been playing with flowers again in the studio, and this time, the quintessential flower design, but paired with blue or red on pink little pattern around the mug. So much fun, this screenprinted transfer flower mug is one of a kind, with each one being slightly different.
Currently there is a blue floral mug available in the studio.
I am loving this new blue checked design on this short mug. Glazed with a white interior and clear glaze on the speckled stoneware clay, this short mug is a great size for coffee! Just over 3” tall it holds approximately 12 oz of liquid.
Each mug is wheel-thrown in a speckled stoneware clay and monoprinted with a graphic pattern using slip. I have 3 available in the studio right now and they measure about 4” tall and holds about 16 oz of liquid.
