It was hard to pick a favourite from my most recent Soda-firing, but this teapot is probably the one. Surprisingly light with a well-fitted lid, a great pour and comfortable handle this teapot holds a generous amount of tea. The contrast of the stoneware clay and the curved porcelain arch is highlighted by the horizon line of the glaze meeting the bare clay. Further reacting with the Soda in an atmospheric kiln, there are hints of carbon trapping, pinks, yellows, copper looking speckles and greens. It is truly a one of a kind teapot, worthy of the finest brew of teas.
